Rainmaker & Canopy Skywalk Tours

Rain Maker Rainforest Reserve and Canopy Tour, Quepos and Manuel Antonio, Central Pacific, Costa Rica.

The Rainmaker is a 1500 acre reserve consisting of mostly primary rainforest and is part of the Quepos Corridor where birds and other wildlife migrate throughout the year. Reaching 1700 meters of altitude, it is home of approximately 2500 plant species within 4 different bio-zones. The mission of the rainmaker site is to safe this valuable nature laboratory and watershed.

There is a transitional neotropical jungle ranging from a humid rain forest to a misty cloud forest at its higher elevations, all dedicated to conservation. Rain Maker's sole use is sustainable development, which serves as a means for financing the protection of the forest, creating local employment and education programs, and studying the flora and fauna for scientific research.

Less than 5% of Rain Maker is used for tourist activities. In a one-mile trail and bridge system a limited number of guided tours assures a minimum impact on the environment. A few trails, hand railings, bridges and lookout points have been created for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of visitors. Elsewhere, the jungle terrain remains just as nature intended.
